October 2009: Toyota recalls 3.8 million vehicles over unsecure floor mat which the company said could hit the accelerator, send the car speeding forward and cause accidents.
The following models are affected:

2005-2010 Avalon
2004-2009 Prius
2005-2010 Tacoma
2007-2010 Tundra
2007-2010 Lexus ES350
2006-2010 Lexus IS250 and IS350

Toyota recalls 437,000 Prius and other hybrid vehicles worldwide to fix brake problems.
Toyota said it will voluntarily recall about 7,300 four-cylinder Camry sedans produced early in the 2010 model year because of a possible brake fluid leak.
