Claman on Call: Russell 2000 Erases 2014 Gains

U.S. stocks ended the day sharply lower, with the Dow having its worst day since early October. All ten sectors in the S&P 500 finished in the red for the first time in two months, with the energy sector leading the declines. Meanwhile, the Russell 2000 erased all of its 2014 gains.

Breaking news after the bell: Walgreen's chief executive will retire after the merger with Alliance Boots is completed. Stefano Pessina, executive chairman of Alliance Boots, will serve as acting CEO until the board finds a successor. Walgreen stock was up nearly 3% after hours.
