Investors Are Playing Defense… Literally

Investors are buying up shares of aerospace and defense stocks on Tuesday.

Rockwell Collins (NYSE:COL) lit the engines, beating on earnings and revenue and raising its full-year outlook. That was enough to get investors excited about the prospects for the rest of the group, with seven names soaring to new record highs.

Investors will get their hands on financial results from United Technologies (NYSE:UTX) and General Dynamics (NYSE:GD) on Wednesday, Lockheed Martin (NYSE:LMT) and Precision Castparts (NYSE:PCP) on Thursday, with Raytheon (NYSE:RTN) and Northrop Grumman (NYSE:NOC) reporting next week.
