1. Crocs [CROX]

Crocs shares zoomed more than 13% higher in the pre-market after the maker of funky footwear revealed a $200 million investment by private equity heavyweight Blackstone Group. The company also said chief executive John McCarvel will retire next year. Shares have struggled this year, falling 7.4% on a year-to-date basis, compared to gains of 29.1% on the S&P 500.

2. Apple [AAPL]

Apple told shareholders late Friday to vote against a proposal by billionaire investor Carl Icahn for the company to unleash a $50 billion share buyback. Many investors have long pushed for the tech titan to return more of its $147 billion cash hoard to investors.

3. Twitter [TWTR]

FOX Business Associate Producer Julie VerHage and @stalban said they're watching shares of Twitter. The micro-blogging site is off close to 5% in the pre-market, extending heavy losses in the last session that were sparked by a cut from analysts at Macquarie Group.

4. Ford [GM]

Ford said it expects to have sold 2.4 million vehicles this year, with retail sales climbing 15% year-to-date. While the numbers aren't final, the U.S. automaker says it expects to retain its title as best-selling brand in North America, beating Japan-based Toyota.

5. Gold

It's not a stock, but gold futures are off 0.77% to $1,204 a troy ounce as the precious metal looks to close out its worst year since 1981. For those of you who don't want to trade in the futures market, there are a bunch of Gold ETFs (see: GLD).
