The Consumer Cyclical sector (XLY) held steady on a trading day that saw S&P 500 drop 1.5%.

Although it went in the opposite direction of the market today, the ETF tracked farther from the overall market today than over the past week. Entering today's trading, XLY was down 4.5% over the last seven trading days while the S&P 500 was down 3.8%.

Oshkosh Corporation (OSK) was a major loser in the sector. Its price dropped 7.4% (-$1.64) to close at $20.63, as 1.2 million shares moved. The stock traded between $20.63 and $22.47. The stock has fallen over the last three months, dropping $4.49 (-17.9%) from $25.12 on February 21, 2012.

Joe's Jeans (JOEZ) was a major gainer in the sector, rising 6.4% (+7 cents) to close at $1.16 with 158,499 shares moving. The stock traded in a range of $1.09 to $1.19.

Hasbro (HAS) declined 3.9% to close at $34.73, moving below its 50-day moving average of $36.13 and 200-day moving average of $35.49.

Mohawk Industries (RGR) fell 4.1% to close at $67.93, moving closer to its 50-day moving average of $67.70. Also, the stock moved closer to its 200-day moving average of $41.78.

Navistar International Corporation (NAV) hit a new 52-week low today, hitting $26.65 to fall below the previous low of $28.29.
