Costly Celebrity Divorce Settlements
They say breaking up is hard to do, but it can be even harder for celebrities who face dishing out millions to their ex-spouses. Take a look at the top 10 most-expensive divorce settlements.

In 2001, Kobe and Vanessa Bryant married at the youthful ages of 21 and 18 -- senza pre-nup.

Two years later, in 2003, a hotel employee accused the NBA star of sexual harassment. While the charges were eventually dropped, Bryant admitted to adultery -- and the couple's marriage took a toll.

On January 20, 2012, Kobe Bryant's soon-to-be ex-wife was awarded a $75 million settlement. The hefty takeaway provides the mother-of-two with half of the couple's estimated $150 million assets, including the couple's three mansions.

The Bryants are from the first pricey split. Here's a look back at some of Hollywood's other costly celebrity divorces.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries

Just 72 days after saying 'I do' in a ceremony that cost upwards of $10 million, Kardashian filed for divorce from hubbie Humphries.

Ever the businesswoman, Kardashian was sure to sign a pre-nup before the wedding – but even so, the financial fractures are sure to heat up.

So just how much will the divorce cost the former Mrs. Humphries – and what will come of that 20.5 karat diamond ring? Only time will tell – but if these celebrity divorces serve as any form of a litmus test, it's going to cost a lot of $K

Elin Nordegren and Tiger Woods

In 2004, the model and golf pro married in Barbados but their picturesque marriage hit a major snag late last year. In fall 2009, the couple was plagued by a very public revelation of Wood’s multiple infidelities. Final details have yet to be hammered out, but the settlement is reportedly estimated to be somewhere around $750 million. What does that get Woods? Silence. Nordegren is reportedly never allowed to speak of her ex’s infidelity. No couch sessions with Oprah, no tell-all books….or she loses it all.
