No. 1: 1926 C&O Caboose

Natural Bridge, Va.

All aboard! This caboose is located in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley and it sleeps two and has one bedroom and one bathroom. According to TripAdvisor, prices range from $715 to $225 a night, or $1,050 per week for renters.

No. 2: Exotic Treehouse

Kilauea Volcano on Big Island in Hawaii

Most think of the beautiful beaches on the islands of Hawaii, but travelers who want a truly unique experience in one of nature's wonders can stay in this "secret garden." Located in a rainforest, the treehouse can accommodate two people and includes a hot tub and outdoor shower, and is five minutes from the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. It can be rented for $185 a night of $1,200 a week, according to TripAdvisor.

No. 3:  Dome Home

Sedona, Ariz.

This dome-shaped property is a fully-furnished house with a full kitchen, three bedrooms and an outdoor patio. It also offers a unique view of the state's Sedona red rocks, Cathedral Rock and Thunder Mountain. According to TripAdvisor, the property can be rented for $150-$200 a night or $900- $1,200 a week.

Pahoa, Big Island, Hawaii

Sleep like royalty. This majestic castle is located right near Hawaii's famed black sand beaches, according to TripAdvisor. The rental sleeps six, has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and costs $75-$150 per night or $500-$600 per week. The castle also has a working drawbridge, moat, swimming pool and hot tub.

No. 5: White Elephant Floating Inn

Boston

This is a one-of-a-kind wooden houseboat, located near the USS Constitution in Boston Harbor. TripAdvisor says the houseboat has enough room to sleep 10 people, and was built by a single person over five years. The rental is between $275 and $425 a night, or $1,700 and $2,300 a week.

No. 6: Apple Treehouse

Bozeman, Mo.

This rental claims to be eco-friendly and green and is located on the ground. TripAdvisor says the house is 1800-square feet and minutes from Bozeman's downtown.  It boasts elevated views of the immediate neighborhood and nearby mountains. Renters can stay here for $171 to $298 per night or $1,195 to $1,495 per week.

No. 7: Barn on the Pond

Saugerties, N.Y.

This barn is located in the picturesque Hudson Valley of New York and sleeps nine. The barn is surrounded by mountain views and greenery, and is located on four acres of private property. The home can be rented for $500 to $800 a night, or $2,500 to $4,000 a week, according to TripAdvisor.
