A new service called Thoughtful launched its social giving private beta tool on Tuesday, and allows users to login with Facebook or sign up for an account.

The service, targeted for all thoughtful men out there who aren’t exactly known for remembering important dates. (It works for women, too!) Thoughtful does the dirty work--it scours Facebook to find their mates’ likes and dislikes and narrows down the endless choices into just a few well-thought-out options with gifts starting at $25.

If you love taking pictures on your iPhone, you now have a way to instantly transfer those pictures to paper by way of a new app from PostalPix

The free app that lets you choose your favorite iPhone photos and have them printed in standard photo sizes. PostalPix will print your order and ship the prints directly to you – so they can be waiting for you when you get home from, say, your photo-filled vacation.  If you use the new app and like it, you’ll get discounts just for sharing the service with your friends. Not an iPhone user? Don’t worry – the folks at PostalPix say the free app is headed to Windows Phone 7, BlackBerry, and Android devices soon.

Busy parents who are looking for great local deals on kids’ activities, family fun for cheap, and deals from local restaurants must check out Plum District.

A restaurant membership and deals service called Village Vines lets you experience amazing eateries for less than what you’d normally pay.

All you have to do is sign up for membership, and pay $10 when you decide to book a reservation at one of the Village Vines partner restaurants. After you've booked, parked, and finished your fancy feast, a 30% discount will be applied to your bill, (and your fellow diners will be none-the-wiser.)
