The flamboyant billionaire has received approval to build a private cemetery at the Trump National Golf Club, a swanky 36-hole course located in Bedminster, NJ, the Fox Business Network has learned. A spokesman for Trump Ed Russo confirmed the plans for the private cemetery after Fox Business received information from members who said that ground crews had been taking initial steps to build a mausoleum for Trump on the grounds of the club.

Russo, however, said there are no plans for a mausoleum, but confirmed that "Donald Trump has received approval from the township of Bedminster, the county of Somerset, and the state of New Jersey to build a private cemetery for him and his family."

In the past, Trump has said he wanted to be buried in Florida, and earlier in the year, he said he was thinking of making the Bedminster club his final resting place. But Russo added that the Trump family burial ground in Bedminster, "has been approved. I am confident that he wants his remains to be buried in Bedminster."

The area of the private cemetery is located "behind the first Tee" at what Russo described as the club's "new golf course." He added the landscape behind the private cemetery "has a beautiful view."

Trump has been upending in the crowded GOP presidential contest with personal attacks on his opponents such as former Florida governor Jeb Bush, and for controversial comments about Mexican immigrants. However, Trump has done well in several recent polls even after he questioned the Arizona Senator John McCain's status as a war hero. McCain, the 2008 Republican presidential nominee, spent five years as a prisoner of war in North Vietnam.

"He's a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren't captured, okay? I hate to tell you. He's a war hero, because he was captured, okay? You can have - and I believe perhaps he's a war hero.," Trump said of McCain over the weekend.

McCain has called on Trump to apologize to US veterans who were POWs and their families. To date, Trump has not apologized.

Meanwhile, the Federal Election Commission today released Trump's personal financial disclosure forms, which details his various businesses and his net worth. Trump pegs his net worth at $10 billion and according to the 92 page document; Trump has an $110,228 pension from the Screen Actors Guild, and owns various properties worth hundreds of millions of dollars. The documents say the Bedminster club is worth "over $50,000,000."

Trump is also seeking approval for a private cemetery for members of the Bedminster club, which has a fee of around $300,000. According to published reports, members include former president Bill Clinton, former New York Yankees manager Joe Torre, and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani as reported by

Russo said the idea of building a cemetery for members came about because many families wanted to spread their ashes on the grounds.  The idea of a grave yard for members would "provide a more organized and respectful way for people to be remembered for generations in to the future," Russo added.

Trump is expected to visit the US-Mexican border on Thursday and several club members told Fox Business that despite Trump's rhetoric about illegal immigrants, several of the people who worked on the burial site appeared to be of South American and possibly of Mexican descent.

"No, there are no Mexican immigrants building anything," Russo said. "There has been some minor grading to make sure the site drains properly, but there has been no work at the site specifically for the cemetery dedicated to Mr. Trump and family," he said.
