Shutterfly SVP and CTO Resigns

Shutterfly (NASDAQ:SFLY) announced that senior vice president and chief technology officer Neil Day will be resigning from his position, effective July 10, in order to spend more time with his family.

According to the company’s website, Day has more than 25 years of experience in software development, systems architecture and technology operations and is responsible for Shutterfly’s overall technology strategy and execution. He has served as the company’s SVP and CTO since May 2009.

While the search for a replacement is underway, president and CEO Jeff Housenbold will act as the interim CTO, according to a Shutterfly spokesman.

Shares of the online-photo storage company were down 2% Monday.
