Who: Justin Cener, 24, @crowdseats

What: A discount ticket sales site.

When: July 2011

How: After Cener saw similar deals for sporting events on daily deal sites like Groupon and Living Social, Cener saw an opportunity and launched Crowd Seats.

"They've moved a ton of tickets for less popular games," he said. "I realized there was a perfect synergy between the sports ticket model and daily deal sites."

In his own words: "We've had six deals to date, sold over 60 tickets and saved Los Angeles-based fans over $1,800 so far."
