Tweet Business of the Day: EdenSong Essentials Edible Skin Food

Who: Stephanie Rountree, 61, @edensong

What: A homemade line of edible, organic skincare products.

When: Rountree began selling her products in 2010, but started making them decades ago.

How: Rountree said when she was pregnant with her first child, she became more conscious of what she was putting into her body, which evolved into worrying about what she was putting on her body. She had been interested in natural organics and began making products for herself and family members.

"About five years ago, friends asked me, 'Why aren't you selling these?'" she said. "This is really a passion of mine, and there are so many ‘big boys’ out there I thought, 'What effect can I have?'"

Where: Nashville, Tenn.

In her own words: "After much research and investigation, I realized that I was doing organic when it wasn't even cool," Rountree said.
