Wine With a McD's Big Mac...Why Not?

Ive always wondered how the social media phenomenon could hit the wine world. From what Ive learned, you have to taste and smell wine to truly experience it.

So how do you do that on the web?

Well to no surprise, the social media world has figured it out. The Internet is full of sites and apps to help you understand and choose the perfect wine.

Snooth.com is one such site and is taking the online wine experience to the next level with its personalized recommendations and ratings and reviews.

Launched in June 2007, Snooth is free and highly interactive--you can take wine quizzes and garner points based on your knowledge. Theres also a food and wine app and you can even create your own wine rack.

Gregory Dal Piaz, Snooths unassuming editor-in-chief, understands that learning about wine can be intimating and is trying to keep it real. He even wrote a column on pairing wine with fast food, like a McDonaldss Big Mac and a Chipotles vegetarian wrap.
