Williams-Sonoma Opens Online Doors to Global Customers

In a move that will greatly expand its customer base by adding online shoppers in 75 new countries, Williams-Sonoma (NYSE:WSM) said on Monday it will soon start shipping its products abroad.

The specialty retailer of home and kitchen products said it is partnering with FiftyOne Global Ecommerce to conduct the international transactions.

Customers will be able to purchase items in their own currency, and the final checkout price will include all international duties, taxes and delivery costs, with a guaranteed exchange rate.

This is a true milestone for Williams-Sonoma, Laura Alber, the companys chief executive said in a statement. Our brands have a strong presence in the U.S. and Canada and its exciting for customers around the world to now have access to the high quality home furnishings that we offer.

The company's PBteen, Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids brands are already available for global shipping, with West Elm, Williams-Sonoma expected to follow by the end of the month.

Its brands sell anything from bedding, decorative accessories and kids storage to kitchen tools, lighting and select furniture.
