Terex Corp. engages in manufacturing industrial equipment, specializing in materials processing machinery, waste and recycling solutions, mobile elevating work platforms (MEWP), and equipment for the electric utility industry. It operates through the following segments: Material Processing (MP), Aerials, and Environmental Solutions (ES). The MP segment includes designing, manufacturing, servicing, and marketing of material processing and specialty equipment which includes crushers, washing systems, screens, trommels, apron feeders, material handlers, pick and carry cranes, rough terrain cranes, tower cranes, wood processing, biomass and recycling equipment, concrete mixer trucks and concrete pavers, conveyors, and their related components and replacement parts. The Aerials segment includes designing, manufacturing, servicing, and marketing of aerial work platform equipment, utility equipment, telehandlers, its related components, and replacement parts. The ES segment includes designing, manufacturing, servicing, and marketing of waste and recycling equipment and solutions which includes refuse collection bodies, hydraulic cart lifters, automated carry cans, compaction, balers and recycling equipment, cameras with integrated smart technology, its related components and replacement parts, and waste hauler software solutions. The company was founded by George Arthur Armington in 1933 and is headquartered in Norwalk, CT.
