Trump would rally support if Democrats pursue impeachment: Kennedy

Harry Reid hates two things: violent exercise equipment and impeachment.

Institutional Democrats have not glommed onto impeachment like the less stable or ultra-leftists Maxine Waters and Tom Steyer because they know it ultimately would be very bad for the country and very good for the president.

Reid went on to say in that NBC News interview that the president is not a nice man, Maxine Waters complains he's a dishonorable liar, but those things are not impeachable and leisure time Reid knows it!

Let's say there is an obstruction declaration in Mueller's final assessment, and a Democrat-controlled House launches impeachment proceedings with the Senate clearing the president. As long as the economy keeps ticking up, unemployment keeps dropping, the markets stabilize and tax cuts make purchase, impeachment would be a mere footnote as the Lewinsky scandal has been for President Clinton.

It would also pave the way for an easy re-election that would save so much money and effort if the president were able to cast himself as the victim of a double witch hunt between the media and congressional Democrats still drunk on Jesus juice squeezed from sour grapes.

Republicans will capitalize on any formal pre-midterm impeachment push, and this removal chasm that's opened up inside the Democrat Party could end up swallowing their midterm chances. Oh well, Harry, don't beat yourself up over it.
