Private Sector Adds 213,000 Jobs in September

U.S. private employers added 213,000 jobs in September, just above economists' expectations, a report by a payrolls processor showed on Wednesday.

Economists surveyed by Reuters had forecast the ADP National Employment Report would show a gain of 210,000 jobs.

August private payrolls were revised down to 202,000 from the previously reported 204,000.

It was the sixth straight month the figure came in above 200,000.

The report is jointly developed with Moody's Analytics.

The ADP figures come ahead of the government's much more comprehensive labor market report on Friday, which includes both public and private sector employment.
