Kasich: Nobody Tells Me What to Do

During an interview with the FOX Business Network’s Stuart Varney, presidential candidate Governor John Kasich discussed climate change and why he is shaking up the establishment.

While he is not sure if humans cause climate change, he does believe it exists.

“I’ve been a big supporter of renewables. In my state, we are developing with solar and wind. We have set goals in our state years ago that are not achievable, not possible to achieve at this point, so I’ve asked the legislator to reset goals… I think that renewables whether wind, solar, geothermal and of course the use of efficiency is very important. We are not one to worship the environment but we are certainly on to manage it,” he said.

As the last governor standing in the GOP race, Kasich said he doesn’t want to be known as the non-outsider candidate of the Republican Party.

“The establishment has always been fearful of me… Nobody tells me what to do, except my wife, and at the end of the day I think the establishment gets nervous around me because I’m a guy that shakes things up and I don’t sit on K-Street and listen to a bunch of lobbyists or Washington insiders. I never have and I never will.”

Kasich says he’s looking forward to campaigning on Super Tuesday.
