Anthony Weiner’s ‘Quibble’ with Bernie Sanders

During an interview with FOX Business Network’s Stuart Varney former New York Representative Anthony Weiner explained why he is backing Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders.

“My quibble with Bernie Sanders… is I would have conversations with him on the floor of the House all the time… And would say ‘Bernie come be a Democrat’ he said ‘I would never be a Democrat I don’t believe it’… Now he wants to be the standard bearer of my party… And I don’t think he has fully answered that question,” he said.

Weiner also detailed the policies that are shaping his support for Clinton over Sanders.   “I voted the same way Hillary Clinton did on the Iraq war. I got it wrong, Hillary got it wrong... Hillary Clinton has a substantive proposal on tax reform that I haven’t seen from Bernie Sanders yet that talks about changing the way that we tax hedge funders,” he said.

Weiner is married to Huma Abedin who is Hillary Clinton’s top aide.
