Duck Dynasty Star Weighs in on Cruz 'Basketball Ring' Gaffe

The current political campaign ring has seen its share of gaffes and theatrics. From Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump’s inconvenient memories of the “7-Eleven Attacks” to Democratic contender Hillary Clinton’s awkward comedic skit with New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, the list of gaffes has sure raised some eyebrows from the media and the public.

In an interview with the FOX Business Network’s Varney & Co., “Duck Dynasty” star Willie Robertson spotted the latest mistake by Senator Ted Cruz while campaigning in the Hoosier State of Indiana.

“Under a Ted Cruz administration, every home is going to have a basketball ring, a football net and a hockey glove,” Robertson told host Stuart Varney.

The Texas senator was in Knightsville, Indiana, at the gym where the movie “Hoosiers” was filmed. Cruz referenced how much he loved Hoosiers and added, “The amazing thing is, that basketball ring in Indiana, it's the same height as it is in New York City and every other place in this country.”

Robertson also discussed Hillary Clinton’s stance regarding gun manufactures being held accountable by victims of gun violence.

“She’ll [Hillary] change. She moves back and forth according to where she is at,” Robertson said. He added, “Guns are vital for us, for hunting, for our protection, and so yeah I am pro-Second Amendment and not gonna get off that and I think our country is based on that.”

Robertson predicts Donald Trump will win it all in November and says Hillary Clinton is a worse presidential candidate now than in 2008.
