Bernie Marcus

Bernie Marcus co-founded The Home Depot, Inc. in 1979, and was the home improvement retailer's first CEO, and later co-founded the Job Creators Network. After his retirement as chairman of Home Depot, he redirected his entrepreneurial spirit toward a variety of charitable endeavors, channeling his generosity through The Marcus Foundation, which focuses on Jewish causes, children, medical research, free enterprise and the community.
