Varney: Trump is delivering a powerful message as he rallies support in decisive states

'Here comes the president, marching into the belly of the beast, preaching prosperity'

Americans can expect to see a lot of President Trump on the road, rallying support in the states that will decide the 2020 election, FOX Business’ Stuart Varney argued in his latest “My Take.”

The oresident will be in Michigan on Thursday, then he’s on to Iowa where, in four days, the Democratic candidates for president will face their first caucus, according to Varney. He will be holding two rallies in one day.

“I guess he’s showing his energy. He’s delivering a powerful message; Iowa’s farmers are doing well from the president’s trade deals and the industrial workers of Michigan are doing well from the blue-collar boom,” Varney said.

He described Trump’s strategy as “counter-programming.” The president is delivering his message directly to voters—trumpeting his success as the “impeachment charade” wastes time, money and energy.

“What he’s done is remarkable. He counters a hostile media with his Twitter account. That’s his own news service and he counters the negativity of his opponents with his tumultuous rallies,” Varney argued.

In Michigan, the president will do what he did so successfully in New Jersey where he packed the arena in which he spoke and where the 100,000 supporters who couldn’t get into the arena held a party outside, Varney said. He added that 26 percent of those in attendance were Democrats.

“He took his message to New Jersey and thousands of Democrats came to see him and cheer him. Not only that, there was some anger and it was directed at the Democrats in Washington who are smearing the president at every opportunity,” Varney said.

Varney argued that the left should be worried as socialists run the Democratic Party, pushing for huge tax increases and an “Alice in Wonderland Green New Deal” which will lead to recession.

“And here comes the president, marching into the belly of the beast preaching prosperity, energy independence and America first,” Varney concluded.
