Florida ticket wins $396 million Powerball prize

The 7-Eleven that sold the winning ticket will get a $100,000 prize as well

A ticket bought at a 7-Eleven in Bonita Springs, Florida, is the winner of a whopping $369.9 million Powerball Jackpot, lottery officials said Thursday.

The lucky, lucky winner has 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the prize, but just 60 days to claim the one-time, lump-sum cash payment option that rings in at $276.5 million.

The next Powerball drawing will be held on Feb. 1 for an estimated $40 million jackpot.

Florida has passed $5.1 billion in Powerball sales and it is "among the top-selling Powerball states in the country," according to lottery officials.
