Yum Brands Shares Higher After Earnings Beat
Fast-food chain operator Yum Brands Inc. late Tuesday reported first-quarter earnings of 81 cents a share on revenue of $2.6 billion. That compares with earnings of 87 cents a share a year earlier on $2.7 billion in revenue. Analysts polled by FactSet expected Yum to report earnings of 72 cents on revenues of $2.65 billion. Shares were up 4.5% in after hours.
