Yum Brands Promotes David Gibbs To CFO

Yum Brands Inc. said Wednesday that it promoted David Gibbs to chief financial officer, effective May 2. Gibbs, who has been with the company for 27 years, was previously the chief executive officer of the global Pizza Hut business. He replaces Dave Russell, who had been serving as interim CFO. Milind Pant, president of Pizza Hut International, and Artie Starrs, who is being promoted to president of Pizza Hut U.S. effective May 2, will lead the global Pizza Hut division. These appointments mark the end of the search to fill top financial positions ahead of the separation of Yum China by the end of 2016, the company said. Yum Brands shares are inactive in premarket trading, but up 12.3% for the year so far. The S&P 500 is up 2.3% for the year to date.
