Yum Brands Inc. (YUM) reported a 19 percent increase in second-quarter profits as its business at KFC in China continued to rebound amid concerns about food safety.
The Louisville, Kentucky-based company, which also operates Taco Bell and Pizza Hut, reported that net income was $334 million, or 73 cents per share, compared with $281 million, or 61 cents per share, in the same quarter a year ago.
