Wyndham Worldwide beats 4Q earnings expectations, meets revenue forecasts

Wyndham Worldwide Corp. (WYN) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $81 million.

On a per-share basis, the Parsippany, New Jersey-based company said it had net income of 65 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 90 cents per share.

The hotel and resorts chain posted revenue of $1.23 billion in the period, which matched Street forecasts.

Wyndham expects full-year earnings in the range of $4.75 to $4.90 per share, with revenue in the range of $5.45 billion to $5.5 billion.

Wyndham shares have dropped 5.5 percent since the beginning of the year, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index has dropped almost 1 percent. The stock has risen 15 percent in the last 12 months.
