1. Wyndham Worldwide (NYSE:WYN)
Wyndham Worldwide (NYSE:WYN) shares will be in focus after a federal judge ruled the Federal Trade Commission can continue in its cyber-security case against the hotel chain. The FTC alleges Wyndham failed "to maintain reasonable security," allowing intruders to access the company's networks.
2. Eli Lilly (NYSE:LLY)
Eli Lilly (NYSE:LLY) and Takeda Pharmaceutical will face a total $9 billion fine after a jury ruled the biotech firms hid cancer risks associated with the Actos diabetes treatment. Lilly shares are poised to fall about 1%.
3. Carlyle Group (NYSE:CG)
Carlyle Group (NYSE:CG) said its carry fund valuations, which includes funds it actively manages like buyout funds, jumped 6% in the first quarter. That compares to a 1.3% advance for the S&P 500. Still, the shares are trading modestly lower.
4. Time Warner (NYSE:TWX)
Time Warner (NYSE:TWX) said Time, Inc. will look to raise $1.4 billion in debt. The move comes as Time Warner spins off the Time Inc. publishing arm.
5. Alcoa (NYSE:AA)
Alcoa (NYSE:AA) is set to kick off first-quarter earnings season after the closing bell.
