Whiting Petroleum Shares Fall On Secondary Offering

Shares of Whiting Petroleum Corp. fell in the extended session Monday after the oil and gas company announced a secondary public stock offering. Whiting shares fell 8.8% to $35.01 on moderate volume. The company said it plans to offer 35 million shares of common stock, with an additional 5.3 million shares for over allotments. Whiting has about 167 million shares outstanding, according to FactSet.
