White House Removes Cuba From State Sponsor Of Terror List
President Barack Obama has notified Congress that he has removed Cuba from the government's list of state sponsors of terrorism, the White House announced Tuesday. Congress has 45 days to decide whether to override the president's decision. While the U.S. will continue to have differences with the Cuban government, the best way to support U.S. interests and values is through engagement with the Cuban government and people, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said in a statement.
