Westchester Medical Center Health Network expanding

The Westchester Medical Center Health Network is expanding in the Hudson Valley.

The $133.6 million project includes plans for a 110,000-square-foot expansion and 70,000-square-foot renovation of the HealthAlliance Hospital in Kingston, as well as a medical village hub at HealthAlliance Hospital.

The expanded hospital will have 141 all-private patient rooms, 201 in all, and a nearly 25,000-square-foot emergency center.

Hospital officials say $88.8 million of the project's funding will come from the New York State Capital Restructuring Financing Program. The rest will come from a capital fundraising campaign.

Construction is expected to start in the second half of 2017 with completion targeted for two years later.
