Wal-Mart To Do Online Price Matching, Officially

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. will match the online prices of rivals including Amazon.com Inc. and Target Corp. this holiday, Walmart U.S. President and Chief Executive Greg Foran said on a call with reporters. The company already was doing online price matching, unofficially, as store managers had the authority to match prices at their discretion in the past, he said. The company's rivals Target Corp. and Best Buy Co. already price match online rivals' prices. Foran's comments came as Walmart U.S. reported its first comparable sales gain in seven quarters.
