Vonage names Alan Masarek of Quickoffice, Google as CEO

Internet phone company Vonage Holdings Corp. said Tuesday that it has named Alan Masarek as CEO, replacing Marc Lefar, who's retiring.

Masarek will start his new job on Nov. 6. He is joining Vonage from Google Inc. He joined Google in 2012 after the company acquired Quickoffice Inc., a company he co-founded and led.

Before Quickoffice, Masarek was co-founder, chairman and CEO of AdOutlet.
