Virginia trucker claims $92 million Mega Millions prize at Pennsylvania Lottery headquarters
A truck driver who bought a lottery ticket at a truck stop in Pennsylvania has won a $92 million prize.
The Pennsylvania Lottery said Wednesday that Steven Peloquin, of Mechanicsville, Virginia, claimed the sole winning ticket in a Mega Millions drawing last week.
Lottery officials say the 52-year-old Peloquin has spent nearly 30 years as a professional truck driver.
He purchased the ticket at a Milton truck stop that will collect $100,000 for selling it.
Peloquin's win is the fourth-largest prize in Pennsylvania Lottery history. He opted for the cash value payout rather than the annuity.
He tells lottery officials the windfall will let him retire and spend more time with his family.
