Vermont Agriculture Agency taking applications for state vendors at 2015 'Big E'

The Vermont Agency of Agriculture is taking applications from people or groups who would like to represent the state at this year's Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, Massachusetts.

The "Big E," billed as "New England's Great State Fair," will be held from Sept. 18 to Oct. 4. A million visitors are expected.

Each of the New England states is represented in its own building at the fair.

Agriculture Secretary Chuck Ross says the Vermont building at the Big E is a unique opportunity for the agency to support Vermont businesses and promote the Vermont brand.

He says building vendors use this space to access a large consumer base. It also promotes Vermont as a tourism destination.
