Consolidated Edison Inc. Holding Co. rose $.40 or .6 percent, to $62.50.

Dominion Resources Inc. rose $.34 or .5 percent, to $73.54.

Duke Energy Corp. rose $.55 or .7 percent, to $79.41.

Exelon rose $.97 or 2.9 percent, to $34.06.

PG&E rose $.55 or 1.1 percent, to $52.74.

Southern Co. rose $.18 or .4 percent, to $44.87.
