US Stocks Edge Higher, As Yahoo Rallies
The U.S. stock market edged higher on Wednesday after two straight days of sharp gains, that sent the S&P 500 above its 200-day moving average, a key level. Earnings reports took the center stage, with Boeing Co., , Dow Chemical and Biogen Idec Inc. reporting ahead of the opening bell. The S&P 500 opened 2 points, or 0.1%, higher at 1,942.82. The Dow Jones Industrial Average ticked up 10 points to 16,623.93. The Nasdaq Composite added 5 points, or 0.1%, to 4,425.
