US market indexes open slightly lower ahead of more testimony from Fed's Yellen
U.S. stocks are opening slightly lower ahead of another round of Congressional testimony from Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen.
The Dow Jones industrial average fell nine points, or 0.1 percent, to 18,197 as of 9:35 a.m. Eastern time Wednesday.
The Standard & Poor's 500 index slipped one point to 2,111. The Nasdaq composite eased six points, or 0.1 percent, to 4,961.
The Dow and S&P 500 closed at record highs the day before after investors were encouraged by remarks from Yellen suggesting that the Fed was not in a hurry to raise interest rates.
Oil rose 13 cents to $49.42 a barrel in New York.
Bond prices didn't move much. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note held steady at 1.98 percent.
