US 10-year yield rises to 3% for first time in 4 years
NEW YORK, April 24 (Reuters) - The U.S. 10-year Treasury yield rose to 3 percent on Tuesday for the first time in more than four years as investors reduce their U.S. bond holdings on worries about rising inflation and growing government debt supply.
The two-year yield in the meantime rose to 2.50 percent for the first time since September 2008 amid bets the Federal Reserve would raise short-term rates further due to an improving U.S. economy.
