Universal Health Services Inc. said Thursday that its fourth-quarter net income was $172.8 million, or $1.71 a share, compared with $124.5 million, or $1.24 a share, for the same period a year ago. Reporting after the close, the King of Prussia, Pa.-based hospital and surgical-center operator said its net revenue was $2.26 billion against last year's $2.12 billion. Adjusted earnings were $1.51 a share, equaling the forecast from analysts polled by FactSet. Revenue was expected to be $2.22 billion. The company said it expects 2015 adjusted earnings to come in between $6.15 and $6.55 a share, up from the FactSet estimate of $5.73. Shares of Universal Health ended trading up more than 3% to $112.49.
