United Technologies named on Tuesday Akhil Johri as its new chief financial officer, effective Jan. 1. Johri was most recently CFO of fluid management company Pall Corp. . Before that, Johri had spent 26 years at United Technologies, and his last position at the company was CFO of the UTC Aerospace Systems business. Last month, United Technologies' chief executive Louis Chenevert retired suddenly, and the company named then CFO Gregory Hayes to take his place. The stock, a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average, was still inactive in the premarket. Through Monday, it had slipped 0.7% year to date, compared with the Dow's 7.7% gain.
