Ulta Shares Rally After Results Top Wall Street View

Ulta Salon Cosmetics & Fragrance Inc. shares rose in the extended session Thursday after the beauty products retailer topped Wall Street estimates for the quarter. Ulta shares surged 6.4% to $154.03 on moderate volume. The company reported fourth-quarter earnings of $1.35 a share on revenue of $1.05 billion. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $1.27 a share on revenue of $1.02 billion. Ulta expects first-quarter earnings of 88 cents to 93 cents a share on revenue of $833 million to $847 million. Analysts estimate 90 cents a share on revenue of $832 million.
