U.S. Weekly Oil, Natural-gas Rig Count Down 6: Baker Hughes

Baker Hughes on Friday reported that the number of U.S. rigs actively drilling for oil and natural gas as of May 15 fell by 6 rigs from last week to 888. The count is down 973 rigs from last year. The number of oil rigs fell 8 for the week to 660. June oil was last at $59.40, down 48 cents, or 0.8%, on the New York Mercantile Exchange. That's about where it traded before the report.
