U.S. Weekly Oil, Natural-gas Rig Count Down 34: Baker Hughes

Baker Hughes on Friday reported that the number of U.S. rigs actively drilling for oil and natural gas as of April 17 fell 34 rigs from last week to 954. The count is down 877 rigs from last year. The number of oil rigs fell 26 for the week to 734. May oil was last at $56.05, down 66 cents, or 1.2%, on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
