U.S. Weekly Oil, Natural-gas Rig Count Down 21: Baker Hughes

Baker Hughes on Friday reported that the number of U.S. rigs actively drilling for oil and natural gas as of March 27 fell 21 rigs from last week to 1,048. The count is down 761 rigs from last year. The number of active oil rigs fell 12 for the week to 813. May oil was last at $49.82, down $1.61, or 3.1%. It was trading around $49.93 before the data.
