U.S. Stocks Open Weaker As Energy Shares Sell Off
U.S. stocks opened marginally lower as hefty losses in the energy sector weighed on the main indexes. Equity markets round the globe also suffered in the wake of rising government bond yields. The S&P 500 opened 2 points, or 0.1%, lower at 2,078.02. The Dow Jones Industrial Average shed 22 points, or 0.2%, to 17,805.65. The Nasdaq Composite was flat at 4,922.54.
