U.S. Stocks Open Weaker Ahead Of Fed Minutes

U.S. stocks opened slightly lower on Wednesday ahead of minutes of the latest Federal Open Market Committee meeting that could shed light on policy makers' thinking. The release of the minutes is scheduled for 2 p.m. Eastern Time. Market reaction to housing data ahead of the opening bell was mostly muted. The S&P 500 opened 5 points, or 0.2%, lower at 2,047. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 32 points, or 0.2%, to 17,655, The Nasdaq Composite began the day down 10 points, or 0.2%, at 4,692.
