U.S. Stocks Open Slightly Lower Ahead Of Election Results, After Massive Rally

U.S. stocks opened with modest losses on Tuesday, with investors holding off from making big bets ahead of the results from the presidential election. The move also followed a massive equity gain on Monday, which was the S&P 500's biggest one-day jump since March. The Dow Jones Industrial Average [S: DJIA] slipped 18 points, or 0.1%, to 18,242. The S&P 500 [S: SPX] lost 4.3 points, or 0.2%, to 2,127. The Nasdaq Composite Index [S: COMP] fell 10 points, or 0.2%, to 5,156.
