U.S. Stocks Open Slightly Higher, Eye Monthly Gains
U.S. stocks opened slightly higher on Monday as investors prepare for a busy week of economic releases. The main indexes are on track to post modest monthly gains. The S&P 500 opened 3 points, or 0.2% higher, at 2,093. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 30 points, or 0.2%, to 17,830 at the open. The Nasdaq Composite began the day up 13 points, or 0.3%, at 5,140.
