U.S. Stocks Open Slightly Higher Amid Data
U.S. stocks opened marginally higher on Wednesday as investors focused on a number of positive economic reports ahead of the Thanksgiving Day Holiday. Markets will be closed on Thursday and open for half a day on Friday. The S&P 500 opened less than a point higher at 2,089. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 17 points, or 0.1%, to 17,829 at the open. The Nasdaq Composite began the day up 4 points, or less than 0.1% at 5,106.
